Yesterday there was a debate at Full County Council and the nearest we got to saving the homes in the ‘Changing Lives’ agenda was losing by only 29-28 on a named vote on the budget - A member of the Labour Party voted with us Tory’s as did the 2 Liberals! And of course the Labour administration was held to account publically.

However we did get a time extension as the ruling party added an amendment, at the last minute so ensure a wining vote from their side, that the closure of homes by March 2008 was not now sacrosanct.

Not much comfort I know but I thought you would like to know.
