When it’s more than just ‘senior moments’
When the mental infirmity’s deepened
Listen to carers, not CouncilmeetSpeak
Or valuable staff’s worth is cheapened

Don’t make the mistake of supposing
That it’s only a Darby and Joan
A place where they’re given a nice cup of tea
While the carer has a few hours alone

At May Place you’ll find miracle workers
To dispose of them would be a crime
There’s no substitute for the service they give
to the Borough of Newcastle-under-Lyme
